Summer Watches

Mar 17, 2024

As the sun’s rays stretch across the horizon, warming everything in their path, there’s a sense of excitement in the air – summer is here! The season of sun-kissed adventures, carefree days, and unforgettable memories waiting to happen is here, so what better way to capture these moments than with the perfect timepiece on your wrist? Discover our selection of timepieces that will give you good vibes all summer long, and beyond.

Let’s kick off with this exciting 2023 launch from Richard Mille that introduces the manufacture’s first ladies’ sports watch – the RM 07-04. This 36g timepiece (bracelet included) required over three years of research and development to produce due to the challenges linked to creating its extremely compact and skeletonized automatic CRMA8 calibre. The timepiece features Richard Mille’s famous function selection with N for neutral, W for winding, and H for time setting. It is housed in this fun salmon pink Carbon TPT® case – which is light, nonallergenic, and resistant to shocks, and UV rays – and comes with a superlight Velcro strap. If salmon pink doesn’t float your boat, there are a host of other cool colours to explore in the RM 07-04 line.

We recently tested the blue version of the Schwartz Etienne Geometry in Greece during our Team Test, but we haven’t had the opportunity to see the salmon version yet. With its salmon gold dial made up of four deconstructed hand-guilloché quarters, it oozes warmth and sunlight. It is housed in a 39mm stainless steel case and is powered by the brand’s Manufacture automatic movement with a micro-rotor and 86-hour power reserve. The brainchild of famous watch designer Eric Giroud, the dial conveys the idea of shifting from one course to another, perhaps from the sun to the shade or the ocean to the pool, we are in summer vibes mode after all.

The Jacob & Co. Epic X Titanium Sky Blue is a modern evolution of the most traditional forms of watchmaking. With its skeletonized dial that allows a view through the whole movement, its titanium case, and the pale blue colouring on the flange and the strap, it is light in every sense of the word. Summer watches should be able to do it all and this timepiece ticks all the boxes as it is bold and beautiful, elegant and stylish, yet robust at the same time. The timepiece is also available in yellow, green, and red.

A warm rose gold case, together with a rose gold sunburst guilloché dial, and you can feel the energy of summer on the wrist. Marrying gentle curves with subtle details, this is truly a piece of jewellery that tells the time. The round 23mm case is framed with a row of mirror-polished rose gold beads and is void of any crown (the time is set via a push-button on the caseback). It is fitted with an interchangeable salmon-coloured alligator strap.

One year after the launch of its model Une Folle Journée (A Crazy Day), Trilobe is back with a Crazy Day in the Dunes. Even the title of this timepiece has those good summer vibes! This unusual timepiece offers a unique way of reading the time with its three rotating rings, the largest of which is for the hours, the middle one for the minutes, and the smallest one for the seconds. For the Dune version, the rings are in stormy grey with the background in this sandy colour and texture. The 40.5mm timepiece comes in a choice of grade 5 titanium or 18-karat rose gold and is powered by the brand’s X-Centric automatic calibre.
